City of Heroes: Homecoming has received its latest major update with the release of Issue 28: Legacy, Page 1 earlier this week.
The update includes a new raid zone, the Labyrinth of Fog, new story arc titled ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This,’ a whole new powerset in Marine Affinity, a revamp of the Warriors enemy group, and a number of new power and character customization options.
The Labryinth of Fog is a level 45-50 co-op raid zone accessible via an artifact cube in the Midnighter Club. True to its name, the Labyrinth of Fog is a mazelike, well, labyrinth comprised of many floors and corridors. The minimap is disabled and players can find a variety of enemy groups awaiting them depending on which color coded portals they enter through. In addition to the fearsome foes awaiting players here, a Minotaur will continually hunt players, with a title and rare resources as a reward for those who manage to defeat him.
The new support powerset Marine Affinity is available to Defenders, Controllers, Corruptors, and Masterminds. As its name would imply, this powerset allows players command of the Oceans to bolster their allies and wash away their foes.
