Today marks City of Heroes’ 20th anniversary and City of Heroes: Homecoming is celebrating with a Time Capsule event, Q&A with members of the game’s original team, and more.
Beginning Tuesday, April 30 Homecoming players will find Time Capsules strewn throughout Paragon City, the Rogue Isles, and Praetoria. Cracking one of these open will provide players with a number of goodies, including new vanity pets, temporary powers, badges, and temporary costume powers. Capsules will also contain Anniversary Tokens which can be redeemed to unlock many of the rewards players can find within these Capsules.
The Homecoming team has also gathered many former members of the original City of Heroes team to answer questions from the community. Players interested in submitting questions for the developer Q&A can do so in this thread. Don’t wait, though. Submissions end on May 1.
Lastly, Homecoming will host a 20th Anniversary Costume Contest on servers Torchbearer (May 19) and Reunion (May 26). Some members of the original CoH team will be judges in this special contest. Winners will receive special golden titles, the Fashion Victim Badge, Prismatic Aethers, and Anniversary Tokens.
