CipSoft is celebrating a major milestone for Tibia Online, its 20th anniversary! Having launched on January 7, 1997, Tibia has seen over 30M player accounts created in over 200 countries worldwide. Current numbers indicate that over 100,000 players take part on a regular basis, no doubt in part fueled by YouTube's PewDiePie who called it his favorite game of all time.
“Tibia is a unique success story,” says Managing Director and CipSoft co-founder Ulrich Schlott. Stephan Vogler, Managing Director and co-founder, adds: “I’m happy and grateful that our student project has grown into such an MMO hit, supported by a very dedicated team and, most of all, by our wonderful players.
