Child's Play horror icon Chucky is the newest killer to come to Behaviour Interactive's Dead by Daylight.
In the new Chapter, releasing on November 28, Brad Dourif will reprise his iconic role as Charles Lee Ray aka Chucky, the murderous two-foot tall doll and star of the long-running Child’s Play horror franchise. Dourif has also recorded new lines for the new Chapter.
Behaviour’s blog update notes the challenges in bringing the diminutive death-dealer to Dead by Daylight. His size and stature made it difficult to integrate into DBD’s gameplay loop of picking up, carrying, and hooking Survivors, but the team was committed to figuring it out.
Able to hide behind the smallest obstacles on a map, Chucky will differentiate himself from the rest of the cast as a “stealth Killer.” He’ll able to lunge at and quickly close the gap on Survivors and use his Scamper ability to vault through windows and under pallets. As another first for the game, Chucky will be the first Killer to use a third-person camera.
A number of unique outfits will be available for Chucky, including “The Good Gal” outfit, which allows players to swap Chucky for Tiffany Valentine aka the Bride of Chucky, with Jennifer Tilly also reprising her role here.
With the forthcoming release of Chucky and the return of the Stranger Things DLC Chapter, November’s turning out to be a great month for Dead by Daylight fans.
