It has been a while since we've heard anything about Chrono Odyssey. The Chrono Studio team has been working on their game, and  they shared a brief update on what they've been working on, following a small combat test.

Shared on the Chrono Odyssey X (Twitter) account, the team said that they had just wrapped a small test focused on combat improvements. “We’ve enhanced weapon characteristics, addressed tester concerns, and more! We’re getting a clearer idea of shaping the game's combat.” This follows a focus group test this spring.

Along with those details, they shared an infographic which revealed some of the testers’ sentiments on a few key questions about combat. When asked about general satisfaction about the combat test, 60% were satisfied, 20% neutral, 10% very satisfied, and 10% unsatisfied. On whether the class weapons felt unique, on a scale of 5, where 5 was “very unique”, almost all of the  responses were in the 4 or 5 category, with none of the responses falling below 3. Other feedback in regard to hits, hit detection, and improvements to some redacted content  were also leaning on the positive side.

We don't know the size of the test and whether or not  these questions were responded to by 10 people or 100 people, so feel free to take this info with a grain of salt if you prefer.

However, given that the team feels positively about how this feedback is helping them shape combat, particularly in light of the game’s distinctive mechanics, it might be worth hoping to see more updates  on  how things are going, and what we can expect. Considering that we are now heading into August, there are just a few months left in the year so could we potentially see some announcement of larger testing? We'll have to wait and see how things shake out for the time and space bending MMO.
