RuneScape’s Christmas Village has returned and so has a chance to get the Black Partyhat. Jagex is also updating on the RuneScape universe-set survival game in development.
The Christmas Village has been the model for the slate of expanded events the team has been holding ever since its debut. Get ready for a new seasonal quest and to do some festive skilling, with Fir Woodcutting, Toy Crafting, and Hot Chocolate making.
If you're ready to get started in the new seasonal quest, “A Christmas Reunion”, you have to start with the basics of building a workshop to help Santa get his toy supply. Help Diango set up a new workshop and spread Christmas cheer around Gielinor, as well as make some toys. Get help from pixies, craft seasonal uniforms, and seasonal treats.
If you missed last year’s quest or skilling activities, they return this year. In fact, they'll continue to return each year along with new content. No missing out.
Santa's Lodge is open to visit and your chance at the Black Partyhat is all in the nice points and luck. Sundays in December, Santa will be at the lodge to give out weekly prizes. Get in on this by earning nice points for up to seven chances into the prize draw. At least one point will get you a prize.
With the winter and the holidays, bring out the cozy pajamas. Each week there will be new cozy pajamas to get your hands on. There are new and returning seasonal activities, weekly buffs, and more to celebrate including more gifts, updated events, and the return of the world secret santa pool.
There’s a lot more detail, including a rundown of bonuses, events, and prizes in the full announcement.
Jagex has also shared that alpha tester applications have reopened for the studio’s upcoming survival game. This comes after a lot of interest in the initial round and already getting feedback from the initial groups. If you're interested in a future round, you can apply here.
