Crimson Desert’s most-recently revealed boss is now at the center of a new full boss fight video. Pearl Abyss revealed the “follower of darkness” boss Hexe Marie in time for the game’s presence at G-STAR in Korea last month, and now we get to see ways Kliff can take her down.
The latest reveal was done via IGN, and Pearl Abyss introduces the new boss and her lore this way:
“In defiance of the sanctuary's sacred laws stands Hexe Marie, a follower of darkness. Enraptured by the mesmerizing shadows, she dared to break forbidden taboos and infused darkness even into her own child. Many have tried to thwart her twisted ambitions, yet she remains within the sanctuary steeped in wrath and vile curses, awaiting the dawn of the false paradise.”
Last month, we got a trailer for the fight, making the dark elements and the inspiration drawn from crows in her design, clear, even in how she can split herself into a flock of crows. Given that one of Crimson Desert’s highlight features is systems that lend flexibility to fight on your own terms, even watching this version of the fight won't give away all of your choices.
We see Hexe Marie and her minions, which resemble scarecrows with tilted jugs on their heads, battle Kliff. The slippery boss is a mix of crows and shadows, so it's important to keep moving and to keep an eye on the minions that pursue you. We also get a taste of the humor in the game as the two trade taunts and a good dose of sarcasm.
You can check out the full video to watch things play out. Like previous boss fights revealed for Crimson Desert, this one is fast, ties well into lore, and offers something different to contend with.
