It looks like Blizzard reverted Shadowlands’ pre-patch PTR to the Test candidate, while character wipes are incoming.

The first bit entails the pre-patch PTR which has seemingly been reverted to the Test candidate by Blizzard. There shouldn’t be any noticeable changes in the game, but as Wowhead reports, the Release flag was removed which had been previously added.

Additionally, this week will see a character wipe in Shadowlands beta. Apparently, this is due to bug reports where characters were being broken because of changes in quests or Covenant flow. When the beta resumes after the weekly reset, you’ll have to copy or create new characters.

This will have the effect of Renown with all Covenants reset to their Week 1 state. You’ll have a couple different options for creating test characters. Maw and Oribos realms will see character copy and Level 50 templates. On Torghast, you’ll see Level 60 templates along with vendors for PvP, dungeon, and raid testing.
