Explore a new region and start Chapter 2 in the next phase of Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. Sandstorm Requiem, the new major update, is out today with the new rocky desert region of Retem, new characters, enemies, a new field, and both new elemental techniques and class skills.
If you’ve completed all of the story up until now, you’ll get an invitation to Retem to join the ARKS in Retem City. Once there, you’ll be able to explore the new region and check out its sandy deserts, rocks, canyons, and dunes. This whole new environment comes with new enemies to match.
Characters will also have new ways to advance, with an increased level cap to 35 and a brand new class skill for every class. The Fighter will get Dagger Spin Axle, Gunner gets Rising Drive, and the latest class, the Bouncer, gets Blade Arts Parry. Every class will get a new skill and there are also three new Elemental Techniques: wind, light, and dark join fire, ice, and lightning. Along with the new level cap and skills, PSO2 is implementing a new title system. Show off your titles you unlock when you complete an objective, get a specific ranking, or get other achievements.
The update also brings World Trials, which are large scale and happen on all Ships. With these sudden events happening across multiple sectors, they’ll be challenging to complete in time, but there will be rewards for this new difficult test.
The Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Christmas event is also coming soon. The event opens on December 22nd with Central City all decorated and with some festive activities and surprises for everyone.
