In a new blog post on the Guild Wars 2 site, players are informed of a number of changes and improvements coming to the World vs World Skirmishing and Rewards systems.

The post touches on several topics:

Skirmish Rewards will be given to players who earn "pips" by participating in Skirmishes. This is similar to the PvP Leagues system. Pips are accumulated in a number of different ways and as the track progresses, players can earn WvW-specific items as well as Skirmish Claim Tickets that allow players to purchase exotic and ascended Tier 2 WvW gear.

Match History is a new tab in the Overview UI. It keeps track of a number of statistics to inform players about the current status of WvW.

Improved LFG tools will make it easier to find other players to game with. In addition, a new incentive to command has been added that can help earn Skirmish rewards.

Tier 3 Armor can be earned and is the "ultimate prestigious WvW armor and it will require you to have earned both Tier 1 and 2 to acquire. Each piece requires a very high WvW rank to purchase." No crafting required either.

Warbringer is a new legendary backpack that is siege themed and shoots out flames in combat. This will require WvW Rank 50 and Skirmish Claim Tickets to purchase.

Check out all of the details on the Guild Wars 2 site.
