Challenge the Horde Mode Coming to Test the Mettle of Players

Fortnite players will be able to take part in a new game mode starting on October 5th. Called "Challenge the Horde", players will be able to try out new heroes, earn new weapons and more. 

In Challenge the Horde mode, players start in a staging area with unlimited time but restricted resources to build a "portable horde fort". Once done, up to four players work cooperatively to survive. The longer they do, the more resources and rewards can be earned.

In addition, the Scavenger Llamas after the update can hold four new Heroes, nine weapons and two new Defenders. Complete quests, play Challenge the Horde and more to earn Llamas.

Introducing Scavenger Heroes with new, never-before-seen perks.

• Raider Soldier - Loves the shotgun and close encounters.
• Ammo Harvest Outlander - If you need ammo, this is your Hero.
• Trap Specialist Constructor - Get a damage boost & durability boost.
• Energy Thief Ninja - Generates and leeches energy from melee combat.
