Today, November 8, 2021 is the 17th anniversary of the launch of EverQuest II. To celebrate, the Darkpaw Games team has put together a collection of cover art for every one of the game's expansions so far. With Visions of Vetrovia coming soon, it’s a nostalgic look down into the past to see just how far EverQuest II has come through the years. To celebrate and earn yourself some rewards, though, you can take part in Heroes’ Festival 2021.
Back in 2004, MMORPGs were just beginning to hit their stride and introduce us to what they could offer. All of these years later, there are still thousands of people adventuring through Norrath in EQII. The return of the Heroes’ Festival is a special one. The event runs through November 15th at 11:59 Pacific time and features the One Afterlife to Live questline, reward items from the festival merchants, and more. The event runs on both the live servers and Time-Locked Expansion servers, though there are some differences between the two due to expansion availability on the latter.
Head over to Freeport and Qeynos for festival merchants, where there are 14 new items available from the merchant, the adventures of the Mischeva Play-Actors and their clothworks, touring through the regions, and more. Follow through with their tales of Norrath’s past right in time for the anniversary, defeat the clothwork bosses, and trade your rewards for new items for yourself to mark the occasion.
If you're looking to take a trip down Norrathian memory lane or just want to get your hands on some loot, you can head over into EverQuest II right now for the festival. To look back on 17 years of EverQuest II, you can take a look at this announcement marking the occasion on the EverQuest II site.
