CD Projekt RED are the latest company to come out and postpone a previously scheduled event for Cyberpunk 2077 in the wake of current events.

The developer was originally scheduled to host an event on June 11 looking at their upcoming RPG. However, they released an update on Twitter yesterday providing information on rescheduling the event,

“We decided to move Night City Wire to Jun 25th. We still look forward to sharing new information about CP’77, but more important discussions are happening right now and we want them to be heard. We wholeheartedly stand against racism, intolerance and violence. Black Lives Matter.”

This follows other companies like Sony who recently announced that their previously scheduled June 4 event intended to look at games on the upcoming PlayStation 5 would be postponed. However, unlike CD Projekt RED, no date was provided by Sony for a reschedule.

“We have decided to postpone the PlayStation 5 event scheduled for June 4.

While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games, we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard."
