CD Projekt Red and media company Anonymous Content have announced a partnership for a Cyberpunk 2077 “live-action project”, currently in early development.
The studio behind The Witcher series of games and of course, Cyberpunk 2077, announced the collaboration in a press release today. On the new project, they will collaborate with the production company behind series like True Detective and Mr. Robot. The announcement notes that it is in early development, with their focus being on finding the right screenwriter to create a narrative set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.

CDPR says “More information about the project will be made available as the partnership between Anonymous Content and CD PROJEKT RED progresses”.
This is a very early announcement, but doing so now seems to indicate much confidence in whatever type media project they are creating. It comes after success in animation in Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners. Anonymous Content has a track record in TV, with the aforementioned True Detective, Mr. Robot, and a number of current series, like Saint X and Shantaram. It seems that we might be getting a live-action TV series, but there’s nothing more confirmed as of yet than the two companies are working on something.
The press release announcing the deal did confirm the producers and that the teams are working together, but it will be a while until we know more.
