The saga of Cyberpunk 2077 is never ending, it seems. Just recently, the Schall Law Firm posted a press release announcing the filing of a class action lawsuit against CD Projekt SA, prompting a response from CD Projekt.

The press release states that the game was unplayable on Xbox One and PS4 systems, with Sony eventually pulling the game from their store. The press release asserts,

“Based on these facts, the Company’s public statements were false and materially misleading throughout the class period. When the market learned the truth about CD Projekt, investors suffered damages.”

CD Projekt has responded, promising to take “vigorous action” to defend itself, citing that the complaint does not actually specify damages,

“The plaintiffs call for the court to adjudicate whether the actions undertaken by the Company and members of its Management Board in connection with the release of Cyberpunk 2077 constituted a violation of federal laws, i.a. by misleading investors and, consequently, causing them to incur damages.

The complaint does not specify the quantity of damages sought.

The Company will undertake vigorous action to defend itself against any such claims.”

Stay tuned as we’re sure this story will continue to evolve.
