CCP Games is already looking almost a year into the future to EVE Fanfest 2025, and has introduced the first confirmed speakers for the event, as well as some early planning info.
Fanfest 2025 Place from May 1st to 3rd 2025 at the Harpa Conference Hall in Reykjavík, Iceland. The first confirmed speakers for Fanfest 2025 are Dr. Becky Smethurst and Dr. Ronald Turner. Dr. Smethurst is an astrophysicist, author, and YouTuber, who also holds the position of Royal Astronomical Society Research Fellow at Oxford University. Turner is Senior Science Advisor to the NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts, and also an EVE player, playing as Fa’ile.
Pulling from within is a good move, and it also emphasizes CCP’s dedication to community involvement. The event already has early-bird tickets on sale, and they’ve just added more with this new announcement. Already nearly had a sellout almost a year before the event and this they are saying is the fastest pace towards a sellout of early-bird tickets yet. As with previous events, prepare for announcements, reveals, and a number of panels and presentations from both developers and community members. This in addition to the huge party.
With the announcement of the first two speakers, we get more info on both speakers, and where to find them, in addition to more details on the venue. They're still working on the program and everything they're looking to announce, but they do have some initial details. Monday, April 28th 2025 will kick off Fanfest Week, with the event fully opening on Thursday, May 1st. They're bringing back the program format from last year, so if you enjoyed that, it’s coming back again.
