Cataclysm Classic PvP Season 9 Is Live

And vendors are back in order, mostly

The new PvP season has begun in World of Warcraft Cataclysm Classic, and though some of the PvP vendors seemingly vanished over the last couple of days, we can now earn honor and take on rated PvP.

PvP Season 9 is officially underway in Cataclysm Classic, and though many are thrilled to get back into rated battlegrounds, one major issue is stopping players from progressing. The Conquest Quartermaster and Honor Vendors seemingly went MIA from Stormwind just two hours after the new season went live.

Now, at the time of writing, the Conquest vendors still need to be added back into the game but the Honor Vendors are already there, and this “bug” was said to be due to an incorrect cap on Conquest when the patch went live. One of the points of contention is the fact that during those few hours that the vendors were available, a few fortunate players were able to get their hands on massive amounts of max-level PvP gear, so they now have the upper hand in rated PvP.

Blizzard finally commented on the issue late last night, stating,

“Earlier today, in order to address an issue with items that can be purchased for Conquest, we sent all of the Conquest vendors on a vacation. We’ve been working diligently to understand and fix the issue, but it has turned out to be a particularly tricky one. At this time, we don’t know how long it’s going to take to fix.”

The issue they are referring to has yet to be specifically mentioned here, but it does say it has to do with items that can be purchased with the Conquest points earned from rated Battlegrounds.

In other Cataclysm Classic news, raids will be heading to the masses tomorrow, giving us something to do while we wait for the Conquest vendor to make an appearance.
