BioWare, the developers of the Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Star Wars The Old Republic, and Baldur’s Gate series, have seen some of their top leaders resign abruptly.

The news was relayed in a blog post earlier today from Laura Miele, the Chief Studios Officer. The blog explained that Casey Hudson, GM, BioWare and Mark Darrah, Executive Producer, have both resigned. Laura goes on to personally thank both individuals for their contributions and service to the company and community.

In fact, Casey Hudson posted on Twitter,

“Well friends, after nearly 20 total years with BioWare including 3 years as Studio GM, the time has come for me to move on and make way for the next generation of studio leaders.”

You can actually read the individual statements from Casey and Mark. The blog post also expresses optimism for BioWare’s future, while explaining that Samantha Ryan will continue to oversee the studio. Christian Dailey will be overseeing the in-development Dragon Age project.
