Exoprimal season 2 has begun, and Capcom is loading the season with new content, including a new map and PvE mission, and a special Street Fighter 6 collaboration.
The update is now live with a brand new map, Ocean Platform. This serves to introduce a brand new Arena, with varied elevation points and narrow footholds to traverse. It means, you'll have to consider which types of exosuits and rigs are going to help you out the most with whatever playstyle you choose to focus on.
Speaking of suits and rigs, there’s new gear in the update too, with new rigs. The Edge Strike Rig let's you teleport into melee range and slash at your enemy, while the Drone Rig lets you create an explosion That will impede hostile Fighters as well as impair dinosaurs’ vision. There's additional New Gear available as well, in the form of modules that increase your options.
There’s a new PvE final mission type, Escape. Escape missions have 10 players join up to take on hordes of dinosaurs, working to clear a path to an extraction point. In order to win, you'll have to work with your teammates to reach an escape device before the portal closes.
One of the big features in this update is a collaboration with Street Fighter 6. If you thought that the Street Fighter characters needed to mix with dinosaurs, well, there are some new cosmetics. There are three cosmetic sets, each containing a new exosuit skin, emote, charm, decal, and stamp. Play Dino Survival matches to earn the Ryu bundle. One for Guile and one for Chun-Li are also going to be available, each as $6.99 paid DLC. The next collaboration will be coming in January and feature Monster Hunter.
Dino Survival matches will also be a way to earn some new exosuit skins during upcoming holiday events. The Halloween event begins tomorrow or you can earn yourself a pumpkin head exosuit skin for the 10 default suits. In December, there will be a Santa hat skin. Also beginning tomorrow is a double XP event, running through Monday.
