Capcom has released title update 1.050 for Dragon’s Dogma 2, making good on a number of plans revealed earlier this week to tackle some higher priority issues with the game.

The update is available now on PC and Capcom has plans to roll it out on the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 in the next couple of days.

The highlight feature of the patch is the ability to start a new game. This isn’t a groundbreaking feature for most games but was inexplicably absent from the game on launch.

The previously announced quality-of-life change of increasing the quantity of Art of Metamorphosis at Pawn Guilds to 99 also made it in with this update.  Another small QoL change is the ability for players to complete their dwelling quest sooner and unlock the ability to save and rest earlier in the game.

As for consoles, players will have the option to customize their desired frame rate between variable or capping at 30 FPS. Toggles for motion blur and ray tracing will also be available.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is available now on the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
