An open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds is on the horizon. Capcom announced the upcoming beta test as part of a Monster Hunter Wilds showcase published earlier this week. The open beta is scheduled to run between October 31 at 8PM PT through November 3 at 6:59PM PT. It will be available across all launch platforms.\
The test will feature full character creation (and the ability to import one’s characters at launch), a trial of the game’s story allowing players to see the game’s opening cutscene and complete its first hunt, and lastly a Doshaguma hunt.

The Doshaguma hunt is really the star of the show here and should give players plenty of challenge to overcome. If it’s too challenging, however, players will be able to team up with others as the test features both full multiplayer and crossplay support.
Unsurprisingly, progress made in the test will not carry over to launch, but players can still look forward to importing their designs both for their own characters and their trusty Palicos.
Players who take part in the Monster Hunter Wilds beta will receive a bonus Palico pendant and a number of other goodies when the game releases.
Monster Hunter Wilds will release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28, 2025.
