It appears the Activision has heard the cries from the fans of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, as players are noticing a new popup at the end of a match that asks if they’d like to stay in the lobby.
From the replies on the Twitter thread alone, we can see that fans of the Call of Duty franchise are absolutely elated with the news of this possible new feature. Sledgehammer Games did previously promise that they would be testing out the persistent multiplayer lobbies in the future, and four months later here we are.
One of the commenters states,
“I'll redownload MWIII just to participate in this test. I really hate that they have to "test" this when the community universally wants lobbies to stay together.”
After the release of the major update on April 3rd, players are getting a popup at the end of each match asking if they would like to stay in the lobby, which means they stay with the team they were on with the previous match and go against the same opponents. This is a nice change of pace, as previously the match would end and you’d be thrown back into the pool and await a queue for another match to begin.
This option was previously in Call of Duty, back in 2019, but was completely thrown out once Infinite Warfare made its debut. The key difference between this new feature and the one from 2019 is that it is toggleable, meaning players can choose whether or not they’d like the feature to be active or not.
In other MW3 news, there were a few game breaking bugs in the past that left players without rewards they had earned throughout different events, and some couldn’t see the event tab altogether.
