Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches on Xbox Game Pass, marking the first ever game from the franchise to make its way to the platform.
Fans of Call of Duty have wanted one of the titles to make its way to Game Pass for a long time, and to celebrate the upcoming release of Black Ops 6 the devs decided to make history with this launch. Coming intact with the iconic campaign and modernized multiplayer, there will be a mode for any fan to enjoy. The release was announced once again via X, by Xbox yesterday, building the hype even further.
Microsoft has clarified that the title will only be on Xbox Game Pass Console, PC, and Ultimate but will not make its way to Core. Players will be able to conquer the campaign, duke it out in multiplayer, and train zombies around once again. Player progression has also received a major overhaul, as new perks, killstreaks, and equipment have been added alongside the previously available ones. There will also be a market to purchase after-market parts in order to fully customize loadouts to fit our personal preferences.
Every classic map from 2009 will be featured once again and will come with gameplay improvements that cater to those who play the more recent titles from the franchise. As if there wasn’t enough content to go around, they also announced that large-scale invasions and Ground War maps would be available right at launch. This gives veteran and new players alike plenty to tackle as we await the Black Ops, which will also be launching onto Game Pass on day one of release. This is assuming you have the correct tier of Game Pass, which was made a bit more complicated earlier this month.
