Details for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer were revealed earlier including beta times and more.
Here’s how the beta and early access timing breaks down:
- Weekend 1: PlayStation®4 Exclusive Beta – October 8 through October 12
- Weekend 1: Early Access – October 8 and October 9 for PS4 preorders for PS4 or PS5.
- Weekend 1: Open – October 10 through October 12 free for all PS4 owners (note, you still need PS Plus).
- Weekend 2: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, & PC Beta (Crossplay) – October 15 through October 19
- Weekend 2: Early Access – October 15 and October 16 Early Access for Xbox One / Series X|S and also PC. Also open for PS4 players.
- Weekend 2: Open – October 17 to October 19 open to all PS4, PC, Xbox One players.
Cross play, cross progression, and cross generation details were also outlined. This includes parties mixed across all platforms. Your profile, progression, stats tied to your Activision account will move with you across platforms.
A battle pass was also briefly outlined, but no pricing was provided. Crucially, the current Warzone mode will be interweaved into Black Ops Cold War with, “both games will share post-launch seasonal content through the return of the Battle Pass system and the Store, as well as share a progression system.”
Basically, if you’ve been playing Warzone, you’ll have access to all your previously unlocked content into the new game. You can watch the full reveal below:
