Bungie’s latest This Week in Destiny update details a number of significant changes and new content coming alongside the June launch of Destiny 2’s The Final Shape expansion. Topics include upcoming weapon tuning, including mod, balance, and perk updates. Players can also look forward to new Exotic gear, featuring the Microcosm Heavy Ammo Trace Rifle and class-specific chest armor.
The weapon enhancement system is being expanded, making it easier to upgrade weapons and covering more types from various activities without requiring visits to the Relic on Mars. Additionally, memento management will be simplified with increased stack limits.
Fragment costs at Ikora will be reduced from 25,000 to 10,000 Glimmer to assist new and returning players. Rhulk, Disciple of the Witness, was unveiled as a new boss, with intel provided by Bungie on what players can expect.
The Zero Hour Exotic mission is now live, offering the Outbreak Perfected Pulse Rifle. Meanwhile, METORO's webcomic series, chronicling her Destiny 2 experiences, was given the spotlight as part of the blog update.
