Destiny 2 players got a glimpse at the latest expansion coming this June, The Final Shape, during today's developer stream, showcasing some of the new features that are coming with the expansion this summer.

Alongside a new trailer showing off new gameplay of The Final Shape, which was delayed from February to June, Bungie announced a new subclass of Guardian coming with the expansion. Prismatic Guardians use the power of both the Light and the Darkness to dispatch foes, and Bungie also teases that players will be able to effectively customize how they play to utilize a combo of elements.

Each Prismatic subclass will be able to wield a grenade that deals light and darkness damage, while other subclasses will be getting in on the mixing action, such as the Warlock's Void/Statis grenades, the Titan's Strand/Arc grenades, while the Hunter will lob Solar/Stasis grenades.

Exotic class items are coming with The Final Shape as well, with Guardians able to utilize these new perks in The Final Shape. Bungie states that these perks will be randomized, grabbing perks from existing Exotic-level items and even crossing over class barriers to gain some inspiration, it seems.

A new enemy was also revealed in today's stream, with The Dread threatening Guardians in this new expansion. The new enemy race - the first since 2018 - comes in all shapes and sizes, including a new flying enemy, the Grim, the "melee bruiser" Husk, and the Attended and Weaver, which wield the Statis and Strand, respectively.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape is slated to launch on PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles on June 4th. However, if you're looking for something to do, Destiny 2: Into the Light just launched as a free update today, giving weeks of content to keep Guardians busy before the expansion drops.
