Bungie wants Destiny 2 players that are gearing up to log in for the release of the Beyond Light and Season of the Hunt launch today, to take note of some information and issues they may encounter, prior to their first login. The daisy chain of tweets depicts some helpful notices that players should heed so that they stay informed and don’t run into problems.
The tweets range from issues that are outstanding, to what the team deems as “vital information”. Here is the initial tweet, and players should certainly check the thread for more in-depth information:

Some notable tidbits of information for new players taken from the tweets are below:
- Season Passes will be applied to the first set of characters that signs in. If you plan to Cross Save but will use other characters later, it's recommended to set up Cross Save before logging in.
- Players who dismantle the Stasis fragment quests must wait a week before picking up a new one
- Kill-based weapon perks may work inconsistently on Stasis frozen shatter kills.
- Exo Challenge activities don't grant a reward for players below the Soft Power Cap.
