As 2020 winds down on Destiny 2, developers Bungie take a look back and thank their community.

The team noted the challenges faced this year with the pandemic,

“2020 has been a year unlike any other. There have been challenges that many of us have never faced before. There have been moments of difficulty, fear, and sorrow. But something that’s kept us going, no matter how difficult things may have been, has been this community. “

Also noted was the $4.9 million raised through various charity events. The majority of the post thanks various community folks who made significant contributions to their GXC Charity Event during their live stream earlier.

Also recognized were community members who donated to the Game2Give live stream marathon for the Light Keepers Campaign. The post ends on an optimistic note,

“No matter your contributions, everything helps, and you’ve all helped make this world a better place. We’re excited for 2021, and to see how much more we can do to help those in need. “
