The Broken Ranks team has released a new 2024 roadmap, following the recent second anniversary and big Shadow of Hope update.

We’re now heading into the end of Q1, and their Q1/Q2 updates show a series of continued improvements. The first item on the list in both the Q1/Q2 and Q3/4 sections is a “community update”, and the first one is coming in tomorrow’s patch.

These updates are based on community feedback, given in the official Discord or to the devs by other means. Changes in a community update are generally minor, and often quality of life improvements, as well as tweaks in areas of the game that deserve a little more attention. These QoL updates won’t only happen in community updates, but the team is planning these out to deliver on feedback received.

Also coming in the Q1/Q2 plans are improvements to the Orb system, unique skin redesigns, and new epic weapons. The team is also planning on adding a new daily activities system and some new quests, including sidequests and a daily quest in Thalia.

Looking ahead to Q3/Q4, there will be another scheduled community update. The back half of the year looks like it will be full of new content, with an expansion of endgame content and the main storyline. The main storyline Act IV is on the way, with a new level 90-110 boss to take on. They’re also planning a brand new area to go along with these expanded content additions. There will also be improvements to the loot system.

We can also expect some more movement on the mobile version of Broken Ranks, with more closed testing in Q1/Q2 and technical testing and optimization in Q3/Q4.

Finally, there’s an addition of “Compensating players for unlucky situations in combat” in the second half of 2024 list.
