EverQuest is already celebrating its 24th anniversary, but there’s room for some more festivities, as Bristlebane Day returns.

The event begins today and runs through April 4th, so you have some time to celebrate tricksters and all things fun about pranks. In honor of Fizzlethorpe Bristlebane, this seasonal event features a new event quest, “Saddle Up!”, which will let you investigate silly items found in Jester’s gardens.

Jester’s gardens will be a place to gather some components for some of the craftable items in the event update. The new Tradeskill book, "Perfectly Serious Items to Craft XIV” is where you’ll find those new crafting recipes.

There will be a number of new items that you can find at the Bristlebane Day merchant, with nine items revealed on the test shard ahead of the event.

With the return of the event comes the return of some of the previous years’ items. Returning and repeatable event quests will have you out searching for Patchcraft creature spawns, and you can get yourself a few achievements out of the whole deal. Other items you can get again include all of the previous craftable recipe Tradeskill books from other years’ events.

There are some returning Overseer Quests and agents this time, and a bunch of event quests to enjoy. Though, to fully enjoy the ultimate silliness of this event, you’ll have to be there on april 1st. This highest day for the holiday of pranks is going to either delight some people or make others cringe, but it is something that Norrath continues to enjoy.

There will be some returning and new content here as well, with special items also only available to get on April 1st.

The whole event will be on the live servers, with some differences on the special rules servers.

See the announcement over at EverQuest.
