Brighter Shores Adds QoL Improvements and Bans Multiboxing

Brighter Shores continues getting some important tweaks after the initial Early Access launch and initial reactions to the game’s structure. Now, Fen is banning multiboxing, in addition to some new tweaks.

Since the release,  those enjoying the game have also made some requests for new features or for improvements and a slate of them are in this update. Now you'll be able to enable single click actions without having to open the full menu. So when you left click something in 3D view, it will just do the default action. If you still need the menu, you can always right click on it.

The update has a few balance changes, including reducing the number of people allowed at a time in combat and fishing rooms. If you change servers, you will no longer have a detective advantage for spotting thieves on login. If you somehow deleted your account, you can now create a new one. But no logging into multiple accounts. As of the latest round of updates today, this is now firmly against the rules.

On the map you can now click up to two rooms away. Active foraging block album cards will actually now list the equipment needed. This is a step that will make things clearer and will be coming to more places. You can now rotate the camera by clicking and dragging the middle mouse button. Or, simply reassign actions to  all of the mouse buttons. Maybe you want to click and drag the map with the left mouse button. It's your choice now.

Andrew Gower previously addressed the reactions to the way the episodes are structured, saying that they’re initially more focused on one combat profession before subsequent episodes open things up. Progress is still retained and you go forward, but the team always wants to keep something fresh with each episode and not make it impossible for some to complete and too easy and rapidly over for others.
