Prolific and well-regarded fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson has written that he would be willing to give his "Mistborn" IP to CD Projekt Red for free. Sanderson wrote that he would "love to do something with CDPR. They've made by far the best book-to-video game adaptations ever".  (click to enlarge)

Sanderson made the comment in a Reddit thread about CDPR being sued by Witcher series author Andrzej Sapkowski for an additional $16M which the company has rejected. It remains unknown whether or not this will make it into the Polish legal system. You can read our earlier coverage here.

The Mistborn trilogy is one of Sanderson's most popular and long-running series. A tabletop game was created with the IP and a console game was announced in 2012, but the project stopped production in 2017.

Mistborn is the name of Brandon’s epic fantasy trilogy. The first book is technically Mistborn: The Final Empire, though people just tend to call it Mistborn or Mistborn 1. The entire trilogy consists of The Final Empire (2006), The Well of Ascension (2007), and The Hero of Ages (2008). It’s a hybrid epic fantasy heist story with a focus on political intrigue and powerful action scenes. If you want a more standard review, scroll down to the news media ones.
