By Joseph Bradford on February 21, 2020 | News | 0

Bandai Namco has made known via a new stream that their upcoming MMORPG, Blue Protocol, will be free-to-play, though it will still have microtransactions. Via  a summary posted by Blue Protocol Database, the developers have announced that the upcoming anime RPG will be free-to-play, as well as more information on classes, gameplay and closed beta applications.

Bandai Namco also mentioned via the stream that while the game will be free-to-play, there will be something along the lines of a season pass and limited items, which are being speculated as cosmetics. Additionally, new information was released about features, such as guilds. Additionally the team is still honing in on certain aspects of the game, such as the number of characters an individual player can have in Blue Protocol, but many of these features won't be ready by the closed beta.

PvP in Blue Protocol has also not be planned at this time, but there are plans to allow things such as player housing, fishing and additional classes post launch.
