Bandai Namco, the developers behind the popular MMORPG, Blue Protocol, recently disclosed several crucial changes and improvements in their latest update during a developer livestream. The upcoming update is expected to greatly enhance the gaming experience and also introduce a new class addition, the Blitz Lancer, while the team continues their focus on rooting out cheaters, providing various adjustments to classes, enhancing mount riding, and of course, the team delved into everyone's favorite topic - gacha improvements.

The developers began their livestream by expressing their gratitude to players and apologizing for the early issues experienced in the game, which included players losing rewards, main quest bugs, dungeon issues, and skill cooldown problems. Executive Producer Shimooka emphasized the team's commitment to delivering a top-quality experience in the world of Regnas, and asked players to continue providing feedback so the team can make necessary adjustments along the way.

A large part of the introduction revolved around combating cheating. Bandai Namco revealed they are aware of players that are using the notorious cheat engine to exploit the game and have since implemented measures to combat this, promising permanent suspension for cheaters. The team is also focusing on identifying and resolving game-related bugs as a priority before shifting their focus to other issues.

Some significant attention was given to mount riding improvements, aimed at enhancing the in-game quality of life. The developers introduced Mount Gathering, available from August 2023, which will enable players to gather materials while on a mount. There is also a Mount Performance Change in the works, designed to enhance the handling and turning system when riding a mount, but players won't see that roll out until October of 2023.

If you haven't heard too much about Blue Protocol up to this point, then you may be surprised to hear that the game features a Gacha system. The team has determined that the system needed adjustments to the current Gacha System, and implemented changes to the probability rates for S Rank and B Rank items. Both probablilities have been increased to 3.00% and 35.00% respectively, which should improve the overall feel of the system, but still puts S rank items at a very decreased rank. Luckily, (if you can call this lucky) a Pity System has been introduced; after 110 and 220 rolls, players will receive a random selection box.

The team also divulged a new dungeon called "Forest of Neverending Rain," where players will be introduced to a rain-drenched world where players can interact with a Camp and Adventure Boards to enhance their Echos with recipes.

However, the most exciting portion of the livestream was the introduction of a new class, the Blitz Lancer, set for release in August 2023. This new class is characterized by swift movements and the use of a lance, supplemented by a unique Sigil gauge. The Blitz Lancer is purportedly known for its power in party play and its novel mechanics that include Sigils that can inflict damage or debuffs on enemies and a Class Action Escape Jump for quick disengagements.

As the development stream ended  the developers once again addressed global players, many of which have been banned. Whether you utilize a VPN or not, the team was adamant to let players know that playing the game outside of Japan will result in a service suspension for non-Japanese users. While global players await their turn to jump into Blue Protocol it's been eye opening for many global players to see the game in action, the changes that are being imlpements, and the improvements Bandai Namco is working on before global players get their own version next year.
