In a new article published on the World of Warcraft website, executive producer Holly Longdale gave the community an update on the state of the game’s Plunderstorm Creator Royale PvP event and teased plans to feed PvE players hungry for more content.
On the Plunderstorm side of things, Longdale expressed excitement to see creator duos go head to head in the Creator Royale on March 30. For those unfamiliar, the event pits 60 creators against each other in Pludnerstorm Duos in a “battle royale inspired tournament” with the goal of being the last duo standing and winning the lion’s share of the $50,000 prize pool.
Not a whole lot was said about Blizzard’s upcoming PvE plans, but Longdale noted Dragonflight Season 4’s forthcoming deployment to the PTR and promised to share details on what the studio’s next experimental event will be soon. What we do know is that it will be PvE focused in some way.
In the meantime, Blizzard is working hard on getting the game’s next expansion, The War Within, ready for its late summer/early fall release window.
