Blizzard to Host Shadowlands Reveal Event on June 9

A Shadowlands reveal event for World of Warcraft’s upcoming expansion is set to occur on June 9.

The reveal will take place at 9a PDT on June 9 as was announced in a forum post by Blizzard with Executive Producer John Hight and Game Director Ion Hazzikostas,

“Set a reminder on your calendar for Tuesday, June 9 at 9:00 a.m. PDT for a simulcast stream live with World of Warcraft Executive Producer John Hight and Game Director Ion Hazzikostas. They’ll share more about the upcoming Shadowlands expansion with a look at some of the newest content in development.”

You’ll be able to watch the event live on the official Twitch and YouTube channels. In related news, Blizzard officially confirmed that BlizzCon is cancelled for 2020. As expected, the current COVID-19 pandemic drove the decision to cancel the annual convention.

Saralyn Smith, Executive Producer of BlizzCon, made the announcement after noting internal investigation on whether or not a convention could go ahead,

“We’ve also talked about different paths we could take, and how each one could be complicated by fluctuations in national and local health guidelines in the months ahead. Ultimately, after considering our options, we’ve come to the very difficult decision to not have BlizzCon this year.”
