Did you forget about Diablo Immortal? If so, rest assured that the game is still on its way, and it has made substantial progress in alpha. Lead Designer Wyatt Cheng has released an update on the Technical Alpha, gameplay and more.
In a video that is additionally summed up by an official post from Blizzard, details on everything from gameplay and character progression to itemization have been touched on. Blizzard believes that the Diablo Immortal team is "Making Great Progress", with that component as their main driving factor as to why they are starting the technical alpha now. News that they are letting in some Australian pre-registered android players has also been announced, granted that those selected have devices that meet the minimum requirements.

According to the FAQ, only a few thousand players will be granted technical alpha access, and testing will run only for a few weeks. The minimum specs for Android were also listed as:
Android Minimum Requirements
- CPU - Snapdragon 710 / Hisilicon Kirin 810 and higher
- GPU - Adreno 616 / ARM Mali-G52 and higher
- RAM - 2GB of RAM and higher
- Version: Android OS 5.0 (Lollipop) and higher
With iPhone minimum specs listed as:
Apple Minimum Requirements
- iPhone 8 and higher
- Version: iOS 12 and higher
Do you see anything missing from the minimum specs? No PC or Console specs were given, as, unlike other popular mobile titles, this one has not announced the possibility of any other potential releases. The technical alpha will also only focus on four of the 6 launch characters, the Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, and Wizard, though the Crusader and Necromancer will not be featured for the test. Diablo Immortal has reportedly been in internal playtesting since earlier this year.
