Blizzard’s getting things ready for the release of Diablo 4’s first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, with a recap of the story told so far. The video and accompanying blog post should serve as a great tool for players who want to catch up with things (spoilers, obviously!) or even just lapsed players who may want a refresher on some of the finer details.

Blizzard has also released a video titled ‘Inside the Game: The Next Chapter’ that delves into the expansion’s story itself, giving players a peek at what’s in store. The video does contain spoilers for the Vessel of Hatred main questline, so be warned.
Vessel of Hatred picks up the story where the base game left off, with the vanquishing of Lilith and players seeking out their companion, Neyrelle. With the Prime Evil Mephisto trapped in a Soulstone, Neyrelle has ventured to the jungle region of Nahantu in search of a means of destroying him.
Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred drops October 8 on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders are available now with three editions available, including the Ultimate and Deluxe Editions, which offer a number of bonuses as well as some cosmetics that can be unlocked in game right now.
