Dragonflight will be officially released in less than four weeks, and Blizzard is making World of Warcraft subscribers an offer to plan to stick around for the longer term. The WoW team has also released the Dragonflight theme to stream.
When it comes to World of Warcraft, it’s common enough to stay subbed continuously, but it’s also likely that players will simply come and go and return when something new is available. Blizzard is now trying to entice players into buying 12-month subscriptions by stacking some bonuses for both the live game and for Wrath of the Lich King Classic.
If you’re willing to fork over the cash for a year’s subscription, in regular WoW, you’ll walk away with two new mounts, Telix the Stormhorn and the Gargantuan Grrloc Ground Mount. Telix was once a beetle in the Forbidden Reach who came into contact with storm magic. So now it is both big enough to ride and colorful enough to stand out on the Dragon Isles. As for the Gargantuan Grrloc, “It's the biggest murloc you've ever seen”, according to the official description.
If you want to just do six months, you’ll get a Nether-Gorged Greatwyrm mount. Both levels will get Lunar New Year bundles.
For Wrath of the Lich King Classic, a 12-month overall sub will get you the Festering Emerald Drake mount, and for six months, you can get the Tabard of the Flame to add some fiery style to your outfit. The six-month bonuses are the same as what had been recently offered when The Burning Crusade Classic was coming to an end.
If you’re waiting for Dragonflight now that November has arrived, the title track for the expansion will set the scene for the journey to the Dragon Isles. “The Isles Awaken” is a new composition of the main World of Warcraft title, and you can stream it over here.
