A pair of interesting news items with regard to a pair Blizzard Entertainment's most iconic stars surfaced over the weekend.
Micky Neilson, Senior Writer with Blizzard for the past 22 years, is leaving the company to focus on his own writing projects. He has been instrumental in some of the most beloved stories in Diablo, Starcraft and Warcraft IPs and had bit parts in Blackthorne and The Lost Vikings. More recently, Neilson has worked on Hearthstone and will soon see his final piece for Blizzard published in the form of a backstory novel for Overwatch.

In a second piece of Blizzard-related news, Dave Brevik spent time at last week's GDC delivering a Postmortem talk about his work on the original Diablo. During the presentation, Brevik promised to released the original "pitch" document for the game that is a fascinating piece of history with regard to one of the company's best known IPs.
