If you’ve been on the fence about heading to the Dragon Isles, Blizzard is trying to tempt you into starting a new journey with a Dragonflight trial. The new Trading Post feature has also made it to the PTR.
Starting today, if you are a World of Warcraft subscriber or someone with active game time, and you don't own the new expansion, you can play for free up to level 63 in the Waking Shores and all the way through chapter one of the campaign. You'll also get a chance to play as the new dracthyr Evoker, the race and class combination introduced with the lore of the Dragonflight expansion.
The trial period will also let you play around with the professions and unlock Dragonriding. you'll also be able to experience 2 of the expansions new dungeons, Ruby Lifepools and the Nokhud Offensive. Access will be available until January 2, 2023, and with the holidays upon us, it’s definitely not a bad time to let those who might not have been swayed yet to jump back in and see just what others have been talking about.
Dragonflight also has some new PTR notes, with a look at the new Trading Post feature. This new addition will let you earn a new currency, Trader’s Tender, to trade for free bonus cosmetics each month by completing activities from a rotating list of themed options. If you’ve been curious about the Trading Post since Blizzard announced it, it’s now available to test out, and if you do that, you’ll help the devs to fine tune the feature, including the final amounts of the new Trader’s Tender currency they’ll be setting for task completion.
Also on the PTR are some class balance changes, added common and poor quality items for transmogrification, and some new NPCs representing the Draenei, Lightforged Draenei, Orc, Tauren, and Highmountain Tauren rogues, mages, and priests.
