Blade & Soul's long-awaited Unreal Engine 4 update is finally coming on September 8th and players can now pre-download the update to prep for launch day.
The update itself brings the obvious graphical upgrade to the MMORPG, however it also brings with it improved game optimization, changes to the combat UI as well as a new class, the Dual Blade. The class itself was detailed a bit last month ahead of the launch, bringing a new melee DPS to the MMO, attacking enemies with devastating strikes, lightning speed and flashy combat, as NCSoft puts it.
The patch itself is now available for players to pre-download via the game launcher, according to the Blade & Soul Twitter account. In the NCSoft launcher, you'll select Blade & Soul and from there a drop down menu at the bottom of the page will show UE3 (LIVE). Hit that, select UE4 (Pre-download) and start the installation to prep for the September 8th launch. It should be noted that according to the official Unreal Engine 4 update page, you'll need to manually uninstall the UE3 version after September 8th to have an "uninterrupted player experience."
