Blade & Soul Neo is coming to Steam after a few months of just being available on NCSOFT's Purple launcher, NC America has announced this morning.
Despite launching on PC back in February, the reimaged MMO has only been available through NCSOFT's own Purple launcher. The free-to-play MMO brings reimagined mechanics, visuals, and updates to NCSOFT's Wuxia-themed MMORPG, and soon players will have another option to dive into the world: PC's most ubiquitous platform.
Via this morning's press release:
"Currently available for free on PURPLE, NC America’s reimagining of the original MMORPG will feature the same enhanced graphics, fully intact storyline, Infinite Windwalk, intense PvP combat, new combat features, and a powerful character creation tool when it arrives on Steam. Since launch on February 25, NC America has brought two free content updates to the MMORPG, including Moonwater Plains 1 and 2, with more updates planned through summer 2025. "
No exact date was given for the Steam release, but NC America states that it will be "coming soon," and interested players can wishlist the MMO now to show interest. We reviewed Blade & Soul Neo back in March and, while our reviewer had fun reliving the past, there were still some nagging issues, especially with localization and bots, that do detract from the experience.
