Pearl Abyss announced earlier the crossing of another major milestone for their MMORPG, Black Desert Online, as the game saw a 300% increase in new players.

According to Pearl Abyss, this huge increase in new players is down to the steady release of new content updates, season server, and various promos.

Via the press release,

“This achievement is seen as a result of the combined effects of recent events and updates; the recent 2021 Heidel Ball, a global online community event held on June 19, was viewed by more than half a million global fans. The new Corsair class and Summer Season servers were also updated across the world simultaneously, and a 7-day free trial is available on the official website to welcome new Adventurers to the world of Black Desert Online.”

Summer Season has also been credited with player activity, with easier nature of this year’s season compared to previous years. This includes a simplified main storyline Party Monster Zones, and the new Season Character Transfer System. This new transfer system allows you to transfer your Season Character status, and combat/skill EXP.

Indeed one of these new updates is the recent release of the Corsair class. The Corsair just released into Black Desert Online late last month and you can catch up on our coverage here. The Corsair looks to have a pretty unique fighting style in addition to various combos. In fact, Pearl Abyss showed off her combat moves in a video, which you can watch here.
