Black Desert Online’s latest update expands music again, improves item copy and weapon exchange, and announces the old menus can stay.

Continuing a series of improvements that enhance the player experience, now you can be more secure in improving a weapon with items like Garmoth’s Heart, since upgrades you add to a weapon will also apply to a copy of that weapon, so extracted gear won’t have copies disappear. It's another way to reduce repetitive processes. Another improvement applies to exchange for for Godr-Ayed and Blackstar weapons. The process itself changes from an exchange quest to upgrades and you'll be able to upgrade the weapon from one to the other with consistent items.

Music fans will continue getting more opportunities in BDO, with the music note limit cap now raised up to 10,000 per sheet, and increasing the number of bars per sheet. This means that you will be able to compose longer and more complex music in-game. This change comes after additional musical instruments were added and more expanded musical functions.

Community feedback has been important to all of these changes Pearl Abyss has been making, and sometimes why they might revert something too. In this most recent update, the team addresses a previously-announced plan to make the old menu unavailable. However, after community feedback, “we've decided to enhance the use of the old menu, even though it may take some time, instead of removing it”.

After several major improvements and new features affecting equipment and adding opportunities like guaranteed enhancements, this week features several events to enjoy. There are cooking buff and alchemy buff events going on now through May 14th. There’s also been an extension to Hot Time, which is now running until May 8th.
