Black Desert Online Simplifies Gathering and Fishing and Makes Guilds More Flexible

Black Desert Online continues getting new player experience improvements. In this week’s update, you can start gathering anywhere and without the use of tools. The update also adds some new rewards and events, balance and class changes, adjustments to guilds, and a number of other tweaks.

There is a new Family tool window for gathering and fishing, which means all the characters within your family can share tools for gathering and fishing. You can also gather fish with base tools, as part of a change that means that you can engage in gathering and fishing equivalent to base tools without equipping any tools at all.

It's essentially like having a base tool that you can purchase that's already a skill you have by default. The team will delete some of the basic life tools that you would normally get from shops or quest rewards in a future update.

Pearl Abyss’ celebration marking two years of self-publishing continues with new events. The Black Spirit Accessories and map return, where you can earn a special advisor, furniture items, and more. Another event is for the Guild League, which will offer loot and Honor rewards every five battles through July 3rd.

Of guilds, this update makes some important changes. Instead of simply assigning guild authorities based on positions and ranks, these are now separate so you can be a little more flexible with giving members roles and responsibilities. Have to assign members a certain rank just to give them certain functions or responsibilities. The full patch notes have more on how this will work, including the new changes and how you can set responsibilities individually now.

There is more in the update, but overall, it continues those player experience improvements that we’ve been seeing more recently from Black Desert Online.
