Black Desert Online Rebooting All Classes This Month, and New Mountain of Eternal Winter Region Announced

There were many big announcements this weekend from Pearl Abyss at the CalpheON Ball community event. Black Desert Online will be getting a brand new region next year and a complete major class overhaul will happen on December 22nd.

The class overhaul is a big one because it is happening so soon and with such major changes. All 17 playable classes will have skill and appearance changes, with everything also rebalanced for a better experience. In order to help players get used to the new classes and how they play, there will also be winter servers in the update. These winter servers let players try out the new class changes and they come with built-in bonuses to let everyone start quickly. Pearl Abyss is calling this winter season “progression-focused”, and the classes will all be reworked for better PvP.

The new region, Mountain of Eternal Winter, will be snowy, and dominated by, what else, a mountain. This winter land will come with a load of new quest content and brand new monsters, all in this snowy environment. There will still be much to do once the questing is done, as the region will bring snowboarding, ice fishing, new artifacts, new weapons, and more. This region is expected in the first half of 2022.

These announcements were made along with others over the weekend at the CalpheON Ball event, where Black Desert Mobile also got a new class announcement, the Eclipse, which is based on the Nova from the PC and console versions.

With the update coming next week, the ongoing class reboot details have been posted over time for the past few months as they worked out the details and got community feedback. If you’re curious just what might await your favorite classes, you can see the extensive but not yet final descriptions over here at Black Desert Online.
