Black Desert Online’s latest update is rich in events, new improvements, and kicks off the 8th anniversary festivities with some free gifts.
The team at Pearl Abyss has been listening to player feedback since the newest PvP mode arrived, and as a result, they have added two battlefields to the Guild League, Elder’s Bridge and Capotia, which join Navarn Steppe and Heidel Northern Guard Camp. Adding these maps should give those who want to participate in the recently-added 15v15 PVP mode some additional variety to plan strategies and to give more feedback as the team continues refinement.
Guild League also got a few tweaks for balance, including adjustments to earned experience and items. Now, experience you gain from Guild League does not increase if you have EXP increase buffs equipped, and the system now gives a bit of combat experience whether you win or lose, in amounts based on character level.
Black Desert Online is preparing for its 8th anniversary with a special login campaign, starting the gift giving now. Logging in for 15 consecutive days during the event, which runs through March 27th, can net you gifts like Blessing of Kamasylve and Secret Book of Old Moon, and other gifts include Wizard Gosphy, and up to 2,200 Cron Stones.
This week’s update also started several new events, including the opportunity to unlock a special Hot Time. If you’re up for a challenge, the Boss Subjugation Challenge event is also now running. If you can slay field bosses and world bosses, you can earn yourself Old Moon Boss Seals, which you can exchange for a number of valuable rewards.
There are a few practical changes this week as well, including new ways to sort your horse collection by tier, breeding count, level, or gender, some UI adjustments, and a number of fixes.
