Black Desert Online's newest update is out today and it will take you into the second part of the Atoraxxion co-op dungeon, Scars of the Abyss. Pearl Abyss also promises that Halloween is coming soon.

In Scars of the Abyss, you'll enter Sycrakea, the new dungeon in the co-op PvE challenge. This one is underwater themed, and follows the Vahmalkea segment, which was desert themed. Two more will follow, themed to canyon and forest.

For this new underwater test, come prepared to join up and solve some puzzles to progress. These puzzles will blend a combination of heat and cold for you to figure out. All this while playing through the new lore and story content. Discover Syca, the disciple of the sage Rux. Sycrakea will call upon those who step inside to use elemental powers together to get through all it has to offer and make it through the final boss fight, Maleficent Centilutos.

Stepping up the challenge is the availability of a second, harder difficulty level for those who might want to do a second run through of the dungeon for better rewards. Until October 20th, those who do defeat the final boss will get some special Sycrakea themed furniture.

Pearl Abyss is also offering a special bonus with the code ATOR-AXXI-ONPA-RTII through November 3rd. Use that and get a Talibre's Tear, which gives access to the Atoraxxion dungeon. Having one of these items will also let you go directly into Sycrakea, without having to have gone through Vahmalkea, though you will need to complete  "[Atoraxxion] Talibre's Tear" first in order to progress.

Next week, get ready for even more fun, as a steampunk-themed Halloween is coming to Black Desert on both PC and console. Follow the trail of Mad Scientist Marni to clean up the dangerous traps and experiments she's left behind. The team will reveal all about Halloween next week.
