Black Desert Online Increases Alchemy Core Materials Supply, Boosts Low-Level Monster Zones

The latest update for Black Desert Online makes changes to improve Alchemy and resource supply, fixes bugs, and improves monster zones and rewards.

When it comes to Alchemy activities, the supply of core materials, like sap, trace, and powder, has been an issue for a while. Pearl Abyss says that many of these items, along with others like fruit, are produced and consumed at such high levels in Black Desert that the supply needed to be adjusted.

One of the points they make is also that some materials that are not currently used are probably sitting in storage somewhere, with the addition of materials that  only sell for cheap on the market. This week’s changes are meant to increase supply of core materials on one end, and potential price adjustments to accompany the increases.

Trace item production gets doubled at some nodes, with increased sources too. Bonus quests, monster drops, and a number of activities will also supply them. Trade goods from Gathering activities will now also give trace items instead. Should help alleviate a few issues, including Supply and also too many items just gathering dust in storage and being out of circulation. Overall, the Alchemy changes include other streamlining efforts. Pearl Abyss has more potential changes once they see how things stabilize with this update, and they promise to keep an eye on how things go and see if the changes meet expectations.

The update also brings some improvements to low-level monster zones. In several areas, including Bashim Base, Desert Naga Temple, and Pila Ku Jail, the mobs will spawn in denser packs. With this, loot has also been adjusted. This is intended to address certain feedback on required equipment, the rewards of the monster zones and more concerns.  eventually, once the PVE class balance adjustments are finally done, they're going to do a revenue balance adjustment for all monster zones.
